Political Hopefuls Demand Trust
The current news cycle is dominated with electioneering. Why do the political hopefuls expect us to trust them?
No matter where you are in the world, if you are exposed to any media coverage, political hopefuls are demanding that you trust them. There seems to be little difference between the main ideologies of left and right. Whether listening to Clinton or Trump, Shorton or Turnbull, Brexit or the variations in Europe, all expect a blind trust from the general populace.
If we the people had been educated to a healthy skepticism, and read Wise T. Owl's Story of Trust, we would understand that Trust needs to be earned. Repetition of promises, without delivering on them does not engender Trust.
